Reflexology

Reflexology is a very popular service.

It is a non-invasive complementary health therapy for feet or hands that can be deeply relaxing for both body and mind.

Pressure is applied to the feet or hands through massage, based on the theory that different points on the feet, lower leg, hands, face or ears correspond with different areas of the body. By massaging these areas it can connect with a particular part of the body, for example stomach, heart, spine, head, neck- by massaging around the base of the big toe it can help release tension in the neck.

People often come for reflexology for relaxation, stress relief, release of muscle tension, or self-care.

Before the session Jayne will ask you about any current health issues, and also what you would like from the session. The session usually lasts about 40-45 minutes-slightly longer for a first session.

Where does it come from?

The art of Reflexology is thought to have been practised in Ancient Egypt, India & China. Dr William Fitzgerald developed 'Zone Therapy' and brought it to the West in early 1900's, and then Dr Eunice Ingham further developed the work into what is now called Reflexology.
